Activities

  • New academic session (2016-17) of B.Tech (M.E, E.C.E, C.S.E, and C.E) has been commenced in August 2016.Anand College of Engineering & Management organized a fresher’s welcome party for the batch of 2016-17. It was a fun filled event at which the fresher’s got an opportunity not only to showcase their talents but also to interact with the seniors. Mr. Samandeep Singh of B.Tech (C.S.E) and Ms. Tanisha Sharma of B.Tech (E.C.E) were selected as Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher. 

  • In September, an Educational trip to the Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala, was organized by Department of Applied Sciences for the students. The students visited the Fun Science Gallery, Space and Aviation gallery, Virtual Reality Gallery, Cyber Space Gallery and got the related presentations. They were astonished to see the real life experiences of science. They also take pleasure in watching the visually dramatic show, "Back to the Moon", in the Dome-shaped theatre. The students then went to the 'climate change zone' where students learnt about the climatic changes and the required precautionary measures to be taken.

  • Civilization (Inter departmental tech fest organized by civil department, on Dated 08/09/2016). To explore the talent of the students this event is organized by the civil engineering department students, model making, poster making, creative art from waste materials was the main events in this tech fest.

  • 15 days Survey camp was held at Naddi (HP) for 5th sem student in july 2016.

  • CSE department organized Fun Cricket for the students of all departments.

  • The Students of CSE department organized Game Hunt.

  • ACEM organizes Farewell for the outing students of Final Year.

  • An Expert lecture was Organized by ECE Department on 26/03/205; Dr. Balwinder Raj elaborated the process of PCB designing in minute details. Besides this Silicon layering, Shortest path algorithm, Low power, Multi-gate Transistors. 3-D Wafer Stacking were also discussed in the lecture. Future scope in the research projects related to the said topic was outlined for the young engineers of the institute.

  • Explorate 2015 was conducted by ECE department in two stages; test based on Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Technical Questions was conducted in stage-1, on 26/02/2015. 223 students appeared for the test (134 from B.Tech courses and 89 from Diploma courses). On the basis of the results of stage-1, 22 students from the degree wing and 11 students from polytechnic wing were shortlisted for the second stage .In second stage “Youth Parliament” was held on 11/03/2015. The participants were made to have discussion on “Environment Pollution and its Solutions”, “Education System”, “Government’s claim of better governance” and “Job opportunities in present scenario”.
